Driving through the mountains, I stopped at a lookout surrounded by trees of every shape and size.

Amidst the sweeping gums, one grass tree caught my eye—its form so unique, its presence so peaceful.

I stood there, imagining how I’d paint it… what colours could capture its quiet beauty.

In that moment, I fell in love with the landscape, and this piece is a way of holding onto it forever.
